Not sure what you need? Schedule a bike inspection ($15) and we can tell you what is needed to get your bike back on the road. And ....We'll apply the $15 to the cost of service if you have us do the work.
That old garage hanger is probably a better bike than most you can buy new today. We can fix it to ride like new and for much less than a new bike costs.

Recycle a bike
Regardless of its condition, it may be salvageable and definitely has parts that can be reused. So, if you are cleaning out the garage or cellar and are going to pitch the old two wheelers, please give us a call. We will pick them up and recycle what we can. Bike tuneups
We'll Inspect and adjust your bike to ensure worry-free riding.
Standard Tuneup

Inspect your bike for repair issues, adjust brakes and shifting, inspect and adjust hubs, bottom bracket and headset. Check fasteners for proper torque.. Check, clean and lube chain, Degrease and wash bike, Inflate tires to proper pressure, minor wheel truing (on bike) Test ride (About 1 hour)
Premium tuneup
$125
Standard tuneup items, Plus replace shift and brake cables. Lube cable sheaths,. Replace brake pads. Replace chain ( About 2 hours )
Super tuneup
$225
Premium tuneup plus disassemble hubs, bottom bracket, and headset, clean, regrease and reassemble all. Replace cable sheathes,Wheel truing in truing stand (3-4 hours) .
Minor service
Fix a flat, get a new tire, repair a broken spoke, etc.
Service inspection

Not sure what you need or whether it will be fixable. We'll take a look and give you an estimate.
Flat tire repair w/ new tube (one wheel)
$10 plus cost of the tube
Remove tire and tube. Install new tube and inflate tire
Saddle/seat replacement (You provide new saddle)
$15
removal of old saddle, clean and lube seat post, install new saddle. We can order you a new saddle but will not accept a return, ask for a quote)
Pedal replacement (you provide new pedals)

removal of old pedals, cleaning of crank-arm threads, grease application, and installation of new pedals (we can order you new pedals if you would like, ask for a quote)
Bar wrap/handgrip replacement (you provide new wrap/ handgrips)

Broken spoke replacement

Replace 1 broken spoke with stainless steel spoke and brass nipple. True wheel in stand. Replace additional spoke in same wheel $10 per spoke

Replace chain. Adjust derailleurs
Hydraulic brake bleeding (mineral oil type only)

Replace fluid and bleed brake lines of air on both front and rear brakes. Adjust rotor to pad clearance. Does not include rotor or pads replacement, or rotor truing.
Bike Assembly
We'll assemble your bike, properly set the brakes and shifting, and torque all the fasteners to ensure safe and secure riding!

On the Spot Bike Service is a brand new venture, starting in January 2021. We will provide friendly, fast and convenient service to the cycling community.
Our experience
My name is Bill Trimble and I am the owner and mechanic for On the Spot Bike Service. I am a retired mechanical engineer and school teacher. I have been riding and maintaining bicycles for 50 years. I like to ride bikes, talk about bikes and riding, and service bikes.
Our promise to you
We will provide timely (On the Spot) top quality service that meets or exceeds your expectation at a reasonable cost and at your home or other site that you designate. We have spent way too much time and effort ourselves trying to get parts and service at bike shops in the past and hope to help you avoid that. Give us a try. You'll like us.
