On the Spot Bike Service Terms and Conditions
Scheduling an appointment for a service with On the Spot Bike, you agree to all the below terms and conditions.
Payment
- Payment is due upon completion of service
- Payments can be made in Cash, by Venmo or PayPal
- Minimal to no change may be available at time of service.
Appointments
- All services require a scheduled appointment. Jobs cannot be “squeezed in”
- Scheduled appointment can be made via Phone, Email, or website booking. In order to make the most efficient use of time and distances, your desired appointment time and date may not be available even if not show as booked on the calendar. We will do our best to arrange at a time and date of your convenience, however please understand that on certain days, we may be unable to attend your location due to scheduling conflicts.
- Scheduled appointment times may be altered by the business in order to best suit travel requirements on the day. You will be contacted to arrange a mutually agreeable time when the appointment is confirmed.
- Scheduled appointments may only be made in the designated service area as shown on this website.
- Cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours before the scheduled service. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours of a scheduled service, the business reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee
- Urgent (less than 12 hours notice) cancellation or alteration of bookings is only available via phone. Please call us if you need a last minute cancellation, We know, life happens.
- Customers not present upon arrival at the time of a booking will be contacted by our mechanic. If customer is not contactable, unavailable, or otherwise unable to attend, the mechanic will leave the site and a charge of $30 will be listed on the customers account, payable before any future bookings will be attended by our mechanic.
- Due to the size of our service area, your booking may be rescheduled to a more suitable time for better efficiency for our mechanic’s travel needs. For example, if a job is booked in Westport, then the next job is booked in Matttapoisett, The later job will likely be rescheduled to another time or date.
- Scheduled appointments may be cancelled by On the Spot Bike at any time without explanation, compensation, or notice. Customers will be contacted and rescheduled if possible.
Service Terms
- Parts required for jobs may not be in stock at time of service, and will potentially need to be ordered. Parts ordering can take up to a week to receive from suppliers. In the case of parts on order, we will call to schedule an appointment and return to you when the parts come in, there will be no charge for service until the job is completed.
- Services DO NOT INCLUDE cost of any parts needed for repair. These costs will be quoted to you upon inspection of the bike. Parts Installation may incur additional labor charges, which will be quoted to you upon inspection of the bike. Please see individual labor charges on Services and Pricing page.
- Parts required for jobs may not be in stock at time of service. Depending on the cost and use of the part, payment in advance for parts may be required.
- The On the Spot Bike reserves the right to add additional labor charges to a booked job where necessary. Additional labor will always be quoted before going ahead. Please note that it may not be possible to fix an issue on a bike if the customer chooses not to proceed with an additional labor charge relevant to this issue.
- On the Spot Bike reserves the right to deny to service bicycles that the mechanic deems to be unsafe to work on. or are not repairable to a safe riding condition
- On the Spot Bike reserves the right to terminate a service at any time due to hostility, aggression,or poor behavior of the customer.
Other terms and conditions
- A full assessment of the customers bike will be made at the beginning of every appointment, and notes kept. Photos of the bike may be taken as well. On the Spot Bike is not responsible for any damage that appears in these notes or photos.
- It is required that all customers refrain from interacting with our mechanic’s tools and equipment, unless given express consent by the mechanic to do so.
- On the Spot Bike takes no responsibility for existing damage on customers bicycles.
- On the Spot Bike takes no responsibility for perceived damage to customers bicycles that are supposed to have occurred during service or transport. Perceived refers, but is not limited to “not feeling right”, “not looking right”, and “not how it was given to the mechanic”
- On the Spot Bike takes no responsibility for damaged bolts, fasteners, fastening interfaces, threads, or mounting surfaces. If bolts are rounded out, snapped, or otherwise damaged, replacements may be sourced from our holding of assorted fasteners, however may not be available at the time of booking.
